Route Release!

Now that it’s cleared the gauntlet of DLS uploading, I am pleased to announce the BIG VALLEY is available for you to drive!

You can find it on the DLS, but since there is also a list of 3rd party assets to aquire, I’ve set up a download page where you can get the Route, Session, Non-DLS Dependencies, and….

KVRR Lettered Rolling Stock and Locomotive!

Through the generosity of Steve Lerro at K&L Trainz, my KVRR reletters of K&L assets are available to YOU. You’ll find a link to them on the download page too.

Quick aside: The real KVRR never had a Caboose – so the choice of K&L’s wood caboose (seemed to fit with the coaches which they did own), the lettering, and the herald are my own invention.

That’s all for now, Look for more sessions coming soon!

New Asset – 1930s Roadside Billboard

I don’t roll my own unless there just isn’t anything close, but I happened on a photo from 1938 showing this roadside billboard right across the street from the Reedsville station…

Original from a 1938 photo and my attempt

Sometimes you have to say close is close enough – I made the skin and model, including the advertisement. As you can see, the original photo was lacking in detail.

3 Miles in Big Valley

Cab ride over the first 3 miles, well actually last 3 miles, of my proto-freelanced route of the Kishacoquillas Valley Railroad (KVRR), based on the history of the line as chronicled in “The Ol’ Hook and Eye” by John G. Hartzler.

This is the 1st Draft of the scenery and there’s definitely some places the MOW crew needs to get after the weeds 😀
